Homosexuality: It's not what you think.

gcnjustin:

The first time I heard of “homosexuals,” I was completely confused.

I was a sheltered Christian kid and I’d never heard the term, so I asked a more worldly friend about it.

As my friend explained it, homosexuals were men who put their you-know-what in another man’s you-know-where, which was…

World Vision: I have seen the finish line.

DISCLAIMER: I am a former employee of World Vision. I resigned from position in 2011 to attend seminary. I continue to support them financially and consider myself a huge fan. Please note, the opinions expressed in this blog post are mine, and do not reflect in any way those of World…

If you choose to stop supporting an organization because of the personal choices of some of it’s employees, I can respect that … but I ask for consistency. If you refuse to help children in Africa because of the decisions made by some World Vision representatives, then you also need to refuse to purchase coffee from Starbucks and food from McDonalds. Gay people work there. People who drink and people who are divorced work there. Gossips and liars are on the payroll.”

Once again proving that popular media can’t be trusted, National Geographic has misrepresented Melanie Typaldos and her magnificent pet capybara, Garibaldi Rous.

I have bronchitis. Thanks to the ACA, I was able to get medicine for $0. #ThanksObama

LIES.
that came from taxes I paid.

Well, let my know how much I owe you and I’ll drop a few pennies in the mail. War comes from taxes you paid, and I personally dislike the amount I pay going for that… Maybe we should check “yes” or “no” on our 1040 forms this year for allocation of tax dollars.
I’m sorry you think I’m lying, but I’m not. I qualified for the Medicaid expansion under the ACA, which is partially funded through taxpayer revenue. I don’t think the IRS mailed you a letter saying, “Nah nah nah nah naaaaaaah! This year’s tax dollars went to pay for medicine for poor people mwahahaha!” Who knows? Maybe YOUR portion of tax dollars went to a Hellfire missile that took out a village in Afghanistan. Ooh, how exciting for you!
Comfort yourself with that thought as I use my inhaler, which I would not have been able to afford without the ACA.

"LIES That wasn’t free, my taxes paid for that! Why can’t people just suffer, so our money can go to place I’m not complaining about, like giving money to profitable companies?"

I’m pissed that this has less notes than… well, just about everything. I’ve got a thing about video game console sales figures on my dash that has four times as many as this one. And even that’s not very many notes.People who spent so much time fighting against the ACA should go jump off of a cliff somewhere.

"that came from taxes I paid"
Yeah. What’s the problem?

I pay taxes, too. And I’d like to see those tax dollars go towards providing health care and lowering costs for all.

"My taxes paid for a stranger’s health" should be said with PRIDE, dumbass.

I once reiterated this to my history class at high school (in the US) since I originally come from a country with universal health care. When another student raised their hand and complained how it was coming out of their wallet, I had to explain that that was the beauty of it: a country holding each individual in the greatest of care - looking out for your people, providing good health and happiness - that is what makes a nation strong! I mean come on, we’re human beings - denying a sick individual care is first and foremost an insult to the term “humane”. If your child were sick and you couldn’t provide, I’m certain you’d have no qualms about the ACA. Obama did this country good and bad, but please consider what a breakthrough this is for a massive amount of individuals (particularly cancer survivors like me!).

This is you. This is where all your thoughts are kept. Every other part of your body is used to protect and sustain this.

I want to cry

it’s weirdly comforting to know that all of the meaningless bullshit society judges me on is just a meatsuit made to support the terrifying tentacle beast that is my true form (◡‿◡✿)

THAT LAST COMMENT. BAM.
